 Coach Tanaka Out, New Football Coach In Say your goodbyes to Glee football coach Ken Tanaka (Patrick Gallagher), who will not be returning to McKinley High after failing to marry Emma Pillsbury. According to TV Guide, coach Tanaka will be replaced by a new female football coach Shannon Beiste, played by actress Dot Jones. Jones has a history with Glee creator Ryan Murphy. She previously appeared as Tess on Nip/Tuck and had a role on Murphy's unaired 2008 pilot Pretty/Handsome alongside Mike O'Malley (Kurt's dad, Burt) and Jonathan Groff (Jesse). You know, I seriously thought the new coach was coach Ken Tanaka dressed in drag or was acting as if he had a sex change. I'm surprised I haven't heard others mention how much they look alike. I think they could be twins. Post new comment |
